Dr. Terry A. Schroeder,
The Chiropractor To See In Westlake Village

The Chiropractor To See In Westlake Village

I grew up in a chiropractic family.

My dad was a chiropractor and the house we lived in when I was young was also his office. I will never forget all the patients that came to our house seeking help from my dad. Many of these patients were in obvious pain. Some could hardly walk. It was amazing to me to watch and see these same patients come out of the treatment room with smiles on their faces and walking almost normally. I always thought that my dad was a “miracle man”. He loved what he did and he was very proud of the fact that his dad was also a chiropractor. From a very young age I knew that I wanted to be a part of this profession. Today, we are a part of the largest chiropractic family in the World!

After receiving my Sports Medicine degree at Pepperdine University, I graduated from Palmer West in Sunnyvale, California where I met my beautiful wife Lori. We have been married and practicing together for more than twenty years. We are passionate about family and we have been blessed with two beautiful girls, Leanna and Sheridan. We are proud to say that the girls are growing up knowing the importance of living a chiropractic lifestyle – living in alignment.

Personally

Currently, I am the head coach for the USA Olympic water polo team. Most of our players receive regular chiropractic care to improve their long-term health but also to maximize their performance at the Olympic Games in Beijing this summer.

Please take a moment to watch this short video featuring four-time Olympian Terry Schroeder, DC, talking about his experience both as a player and coach for the U.S. Olympic Men’s Water Polo team. In the video, Dr. Schroeder also shares why he and so many world-class athletes, as well as everyday people, rely on chiropractic care to keep them well.

I strive to be the best in everything I do.

I have grown up with this philosophy and it helped me to become a four-time Olympian and be chosen as the best water polo player in the world on two separate occasions. I believe that I apply this same philosophy to my practice and life.

Lori and I feel that as chiropractors we are leaders in the wellness industry. The Schroeder Center for Healthy Living is a place where people come to maximize their health and with it revolutionize their lives - a place where people come to add life to their years and not just years to their life. Young kids, grandparents and everyone in between can benefit from our wellness care.

Dr. Terry Asks some important questions of interest to Westlake Village residents - Chiropractor Westlake Village Dr. Terry Asks...

Would you rather feel good or be healthy?
Ask most people in Westlake Village and they want to feel good. Careful! Would you take medicine that makes you feel good, rather than vomit to expel improperly prepared food? Every chiropractic patient knows that you can't measure your health by how you feel. True health is when your body works as it should.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
